Jingle Those Bells! By Karen McGovern

Hello all! Hope your hearths are draped in garland, your trees are covered in tinsel, your stockings stuffed to bursting, and your SANTAUR is shiny and bright!

Nice six-pack, Santa! Seriously....dude has been hitting the gym....

I know we are all scrambling to get ready for next weekend and I wish you all a peaceful and joyous holiday. Eat too much, hug everybody, and let's all hope for a better 2017.

I'm not going to bore you with a long post--Instead, LET'S GIVE SOMETHING AWAY! My gift to you--a new bangle bracelet design (for me) that is big, beautiful, bold, burnt, and BODACIOUS. Eight inches around, hammered copper sheet and wire splashed with silver solder, colored with flame. Two inches wide, fit for a Viking Princess! I call it the Beautiful Beast.

Here's what you do...in the comments below share a favorite holiday memory. On Tuesday the 27th I will put all your names into a random name picker and announce the winner here and on our Facebook page. SIMPLE!!!

Enjoy the season, one and all. Remember to hold friends and family close, and take care of each other and yourselves as well. The critters and I wish you well...May we all enter 2017 healthy and happy!!

My mother always made Christmas special....Only now did I realize how much went into her preparations... cleaning, polishing, decorating every nook and cranny, baking special favorites, church, friends, family and traditions.... hand knit stockings for all, (she made 94 of these over a lifetime) English crackers, cookies for Santa, sending and receiving cards and cards and cards, chilling champagne bottles in the snow banks because the refrigerator was chuck full, christmas lights... oh, you get the idea. My mother made it special for all of us.

Growing up we did not celebrate Christmas, so now as I celebrate with my daughter we use as many bows as we can on each others presents....simple silly but 18 years later it makes us giggle!!

The Christmas Eve that it snowed and snowed. So quiet and calm that night. That was at least 35 years ago but I remember it like it was just a short while ago.

It is a very nice Christmas gift you have, and it is a magnificent bracelet, I like copper! So, I I would really be happy if I won it.
One Christmas memory I have is when I was about 10 years old. I went home to my grandmother and she had put my Christmas present on her fine table. It was a pink hyacinths with green crepe paper around. And then there was a small cup, either for coffee or chocolate, with its black dish. The cup was slightly pink and the dish was black. It is in my memory yet.

Wow! Most definitely big, beautiful, bold, burnt, BODACIOUS....and FANTASTIC!! My favorite holiday memory is as a kid gathering every year with extended family.....lots of people, food, excitement, and fun. More recently is watching my little ones enjoy the excitement and magic of Christmas mornings. It never grows old. Wishing you joy and a Merry Christmas!!

There were a lot of us growing up, and money was more than tight. One year, my dad's company went on strike in mid October and lasted straight thru January. That year I got a used baby doll and my brothers got a used football to share. It taught us that Xmas isn't about money but about love and family. 35 years later and I still have that baby doll.

My favorite Christmas memory is of our family being together, driving to the local holiday light display and attending a candlelight Church service. I was so blessed to have them with me. My son passed away earlier this year, Christmas will never be the same and I cling to that memory of when our lives were happy and we were all together.

My favorite Christmas memory is when my brother and I took the sled, hooked the dog to it and with axe in hand we shuffled thru the deep snow to the back of the field to chop down that year's Christmas tree. He chopped down the one I said to because I was the oldest after several minutes of arguing! After getting it chopped down we wrestled it on the sled, argued about the best way to secure it and the dog pulled the sled while we tried to keep the tree on! But we did it!

When my husband and I bought our first house, we closed in December. Between stripping wallpaper, painting and moving everything we found ourselves on Christmas day with bare cupboards. The only place in a our tiny town that was open was the Chinese restaurant so that is what we had that year for Christmas. We continue the tradition but had to move it to Christmas Eve since the restaurant is not longer open Christmas day.

Beautiful bracelet...

My favourite memory is the time Santa came to the house at midnight to deliver an extra gift for me. I had refused to go to sleep, and it was the first year I started doubtingbthat Santa was real. I was asleep on the couch by the Christmas tree when the doorbell rang. My father went to answer it (I was peeking around the doorway to the hall) and who did I see but Santa with a huge present, asking if I lived there because he got lost on the way! My dad took the gift, said goodbye to Santa, and I believed for another year :-)

Would love to be entered for this beautiful piece too. My favorite Christmas memory is spending Christmas in the country with my grandma. The whole house would be filled with Christmas music as we cleaned everything and waited for my mom to arrive from the city.

my favorite Christmas memory was of spending Christmas in the country with my grandmother. She would play Christmas music on the turntable and the whole house would be filled with Carols as we cleaned every nook and cranny. While cleaning we would be watching and listening for my Mother to arrive from the city where she worked. That was always a lovely time.
