....with a sprinkle of color and class..... This great book by Jennifer Heynen, the creator of Jangles Ceramic Beads, could be yours by sharing a little about yourself.....
"What colors do you tend to gravitate to when you
sit down to design and why?"
Mine would be colors that are earthy. The reasons I think that is the case is because I like everything that is rustic and earthy. As a child I was raised in the suburbs, but had friends who lived in the country. I always wished that I could live out there amongst the farm animals, the woods and away from lots of houses, stores and more. As an adult that is what I did..... moved to the country without the cows and horses.... That fantasy disintegrated when I realized that someone more equipped than I needed to be in charge of taking care of all of those farm animals ;o) They were substituted with dogs!!
That works for me.
So..... colors?
....it's khakis, browns, greens for me....
How about you?
Then....as always.... If you want to enter more than once you can do that by sharing this giveaway on your facebook, blog, twitter, etc. and come back each time letting us know that you did.

oh yes khakis, browns, greens even a splash of yellow. You know earthy.
I haven't seen that book before I must have it! :-)
I shared on fb!
I almost always go for blues and purples...at least that's the case lately. I think that's a little funny because my favorite colors, if you just asked me straight up, are orange and pink. I have some lovely soft suede in cool colors...maybe that's what's motivating me!

I have to work really hard to do things other than blues and greens!
for me its about the beads . I look for what catches my eye. It could be any color but its how I see the bead stand out.
Blues and greens here.... I know I consciously put the glazes aside so I can do other colors, but unconsciously somehow I pick them again.... I really really need to make the effort of graduating to other colors.....
This is a great book, lucky person who wins it. I already have it so don't enter me please. I love reading your blog.
Same as you--earth tones for sure. Browns, gold, olive, rust. I love a splash of turquoise thrown into the mix as well.
I flip between earthy colors and any color with black. Love the polka dot beads on the cover of this book.
Earth tones and blue. Blue is my favorite color, Earth tones are just relaxing for me.
Shared on facebook. This one is on my wishlist :-)
I love bright saturated colors, especially vivid blues, turquoises, and pinks. It helps that I live in the Caribbean, where all of the colors around me are bright happy and saturated.
I tend to use black and/or white and bright colors together. I also usually wear these colors.
I can't resist blue. I have to make a conscious effort to not pick up beads in blue/teal shades! Thanks for the chance to win Jennifer's book!
I'm a green freak, but I have beads and components in every color there is....Alot of time it depends on the season or my mood as to what colors I use.
This book looks wonderful!! Thanks for the opportunity to win it
I know I can't win this great book- some lucky duck will though!
I gravitate toward saffron yellow and rusty orange lately! Turquoise is on my favorite list right now too.
Posted the link to my facebook page and blog on Blogger! Would love to win the book.
My favorite colors are ocean tones - teal green, stormy blue. So calming.

I usually find earth tones in my hands when I'm designing. Maybe for the same reasons you said. I also grew up in the burbs, but had an aunt on a farm, with chickens, pigs cows, etc. Homemade lemonade and biscuits. There's something very comforting about earth tones.
If I'm designing for my self...it's animal print for sure or lavenders, lime green and blues.
I try to have a varity of colors in my shop. I have designed with Jennifer's bright beads, too...so thank you for the opportunity to maybe win her book.
Smiles, Pam
Shared on Facebook, too...
