It's time for a giveaway!!!!

Happy Birthday to my daughter Theresa born three days before I turned 30.

The winner of the earrings is....

Shaiha! Congratulations! Thanks for all for all of the great comments. I loved hearing what everyone was up to!

Quite simply, I have been overwhelmed with the end of the school year and two shows in two weekends. You would think I have all kinds of things to write about, but my brain is fried. Today, I am heading off on a four hour ride to attend my niece's high school graduation and will be spending time with my sister and her family. As soon as this is posted, I am running off to pack! Good thing I am used to flying by the seat of my pants.... I've come to think of it as a lifestyle.

Busy, busy, busy, so..... the only thing left to do was to give something away!!!

These are hand-cut copper enameled earrings. They can be yours by simply answering a question to be entered in the drawing that will take place online Sunday evening (when I get home) two days from today. Let's hope I remember!

Question:

What's going on in your life right now?

Simple, right? Well, if you share this on your FB "like" pages or your blogs, please leave extra comments saying that you did along with the link.  You will be entered an additional time for both or either of those for a total of three entries.  For those of you who don't have those, feel free to come up with another way to share this post and let us know what that was.

Please leave comments here as those left on FB will not be counted...... sorry.

I would also like to give a big thank-you to Carol Dekle-Foss for creating our new banner. She did a wonderful job! What a gifted woman!

Enjoy your weekend,

MaryAnn

OMGosh, what a pretty baby!!

Oh, my. That blue is gorgeous! I love the undulating quality and texture. Simply stunning! I am a recently retired teacher and, believe it or not, I miss that end-of-school exhaustion and the laziness of those first few summer days. Being retired, every day is like summer vacation, so there is a peculiar absence of euphoric anticipation. Today is sunny and warm. Looks like a beach day to me !

Those earrings are beautiful, and I'd LOVE to win them. Thanks for the xhance to win them!
"Right now": I'll be attending a bead show tomorrow AM, and will be sitting at a table for my local bead society, to try to get other beaders and jewelry makers interested in joining us! We currently have a very nice group of women, but we could always use more! I really enjoy chit-chatting with other bead lovers about beads! Fun!

I just realized that I didn't answer your question! Sorry I'm a little scattered since I retired last year. I worked 38 years as an organized registered nurse so I guess I'm entitled to some down time. I am having a wonderful time adjusting to many changes in my life and exploring my creativity with jewelry art and polymer clay. It's such fun just to play all day!

Nice earrings! Right now in my life I am starting my prep for a fall bead show, taking an accreditation course for my medium (metal clay), working 2 jobs and trying to eat / be healthy. Phew!

Well, it's 1 week until winter school holidays (I'm in Australia), so I'm about to be swamped with my 3 kids. Had a market today, but winter isn't the best time to sell here so it was sadly a bit ho hum. I've just finished a big project in my day job, which is good timing for the kids being home. And since I won't have much creating time in the next few weeks, I'm thinking it's a good time for reorganizing!

I have loved reading what everyone is up to! I feel not alone in the "busy" world and also looking forward to the retired life. My plan is to retire in four years. I will probably miss it at first when that happens. What I know I won't miss is the politics of education and the scrutiny of teachers. Diane, I hope to see you too! Carol, deciding not to color a couple of years ago was one of the most liberating decisions I have ever made. It seems to be catching on more and more. It seems like I have seen more women embracing their gray these days in the past year than I have in the past ten years.

I'm still trying to figure out where I fit in! While my artistic & creative side says "take the leap and do what you love" my "let's be real side" says "keep working at the job you have, you have kids, a mortgage....blah, blah, blah". I really admirer those of you who have found a way to make it work! I liked your page a long time ago and I pinned it to Pintrest today!

We are in the process of trying to buy our home and jumping through those hoops. I have been trying to find time to make it into my studio as creating really helps with the stress.

Beautiful family...and welcome home! Love the earrings also. What's going on in my life?! I'm trying to decide if I should go to Europe and teach English, or stay in Montana and continue living the life of a starving artist. Decisions, decisions! Thank you for this chance to win!
