Monday Showcase.....

Although, the busy summer got away from us and we are not officially having a SYS challenge this month, I would still like to showcase some awesome pieces that have been shared with us.

This first piece is by Erika from Supere67.

Fossils

Here is how she describes Fossils: This bracelet was inspired by a pair of earrings I purchased from Staci Louise Smith which paired some fossils with ceramic beads. Ever since, I have been infatuated with the combination. Ceramic beads by Mary Ann Carroll and Ingrid Mueller. Hand drilled crinoid and petoskey fossils by Kelly from upnorthstones.

This next piece what created by Susan at Libellula Jewelry.

Crossvine Necklace

Here is how she describes Crossvine Necklace: This necklace is inspired by the crossvine (Bignonia capreolata). Crossvine flowers are actually trumpet-shaped but Mari's pendant reminded me of the straight-on view of a crossvine flower.

The wirework that the etched copper bail and pendant hang from is intended to suggest the tendrils of a vine.

The fold formed leaves, bead caps, headpins, and clasp were handmade by me. The commercial copper beads, leaves, and one pair of bead caps were treated with Jax Green to produce the patina. They were sealed with a spray lacquer and Renaissance Wax.

The stoneware pendant was made by Mari Marson of Artgirl56.

We will be continuing with our Strut Your Stuff challenge once again in October. Thank-you to those of you who contribute. Please remember that an important part of this is letting other know your thought process or what inspired you.

As always, Thank-you for supporting those who create handmade with handmade.

Great work! I recognized Ingrid's beads immediately. I sent some to my Bead Soup partner this round that look just like that one but the ones I sent were garden green.
