you know that feeling, that apprehension-at-approaching-your-work-area feeling...
where do i start? how do i start?
alexander calder
you start, quite simply, by being there...
helen frankenthaler
by showing up...
even circling counts if you are in the work space,

because only by being there, can the magic begin...

I certainly know that exact feeling.
I've found that the apprehension starts when I've been away due to injury or a carpal tunnel flare up. Even when I know that I'm healed and can resume work that I falter due to fear and dampened creativity. All creativity seems to evaporate into the ether if I don't keep going.
Thanks for the inspiration!
What a good quote. I'm going to print it & tack it at eye level.
And such a great set of photos...thank you.
Thanks for the inspiring post! This is something I need to remember--just show up.
Sometimes, showing up is the most difficult part for me :o) Thanks for helping me to think more about the importance of just getting there!
