Busy, busy!

I can't wait to participate in the texture metal challenge for this months Boot Camp because I am a so-so metal worker.
So I am going to be very interested in seeing what all my fellow contributors will be writing about.

I do love textured metal and thought I would share some cool things you can do with it.

I love these textured bead caps from Metal Me This
You can also buy your own patinas to color your own textured metal.

In addition you can buy colored textured sheets and make your own bead caps.

I use the Pepe Disk cutter that I got at Bead and Button but if you do a google search for Pepe you can find a distributor.
The metal slips between the two metal blocks and the you tighten it down. Then you use the size disk you want and use a rubber hammer to cut your disk. You can then use a hole punch to make your center hole.

Next use your dapping block to form the bead cap and your done! You have made your own textured bead cap.

I think I will try some the ideas that the contributors are going to be talking about and make my own textured bead caps!

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Hi Libby,

What brand of dapping block is that? Do you like it? I need one and have been trying to find the best one for the money.
