Inspired by Movement

by D'Arsie Manzella of Mamacita Beadworks

October's Art Spark has been introduced and the theme is Color and MOVEMENT. How fun is that?!
I have been gathering visual inspiration from Etsy and want to
share with you to help you get your wiggle on~
Check out these gems as they flutter, shimmy and shake their way down the screen.
Then go to your studio and make stuff.

Beach Rock Bangle by Metalchick

Cedric the Beaird by rubbersoullennon
Beady Post Earrings by Markaplan
Textured Sterling Silver Leaf Articulated Pendant by leoniegiroux
Nest Puppet Necklace by SIKORKAboutique
Enki of the Water of Life. Assemblage Earrings by fancifuldevices
Belted Kingfisher articulated ceramic pendant by Wolf Art Glass
And I know this isn't jewelry but when I was young I had the fortunate opportunity to visit this place on a family trip. I found photographer StillMemory has captured the wondrous movement in this space at the Eaton Centre in Toronto. She has entitled it The Migration. I see this photo and realize that seeing something this marvelous as a child influenced my entire creative life.

I hope these great examples of movement in both jewelry and
sculpture have inspired you
to start on your October Art Spark!

Wow, what great pieces! You've set the bar high on this one. I'm still trying to come up with something that will fit the theme.

I love this post! I grew up in Toronto and immediately knew where this was and was going to post but I saw you already know that! One year at Christmas the mall put red bows on the necks of the geese and the artist had a fit and they had to be removed.

Amazing pieces which all portray movement in different ways. Inspiring!

@ Cillaw- I can't imagine how amazing it must feel to create something so stunning in a public space. I could see how the artist would be very proud of the work -as is, lol. Think of the work to put on and take off all of those little bows...
