But, today I will keep it simple.... I am making a necklace that can be either hung in one long strand or doubled over the neck for a different look. The problem is ..... do I keep it the way that you see it with mostly my white crackle beads combined with seed beads and my small porcelain white rounds?
or...
Do you think it needs some color by adding some porcelain reds and greens to add interest? I'd love to know what you think? It hasn't been crimped yet.....

Hi MaryAnn,
I like your neutrals just the way they are... Some one who buys the necklace may just want the neutral look. Just make a second one with the added beads and give a choice.
I love it the way it is :)
I love the precise style your necklace has now and I fear that adding other colors would vanish it, especially when it's doubled over the neck.
I would keep it as it is, but I guess you will change the pattern as there is something that doesn't satisfy you, and it's fine. :)
By the way, you have an amazing selection of beads!

I like the first one (w/o the reds and greens)! And sometimes pictures come out sideways (unfortunately), so some cameras have a "rotate" option or you can just rotate the pictures on your computer!
Hi MaryAnn, i agree with Terri, i think it looks good the way you have it.
ttfn Lana :)
I agree with Terri.
I prefer the neutral one, but you could give the choice.
I agree with Terri, love it neutral. I'm also really diggin' those cracked beads.
I agree with the other 2 comments that a buyer would want it all neutral to wear with a khaki dress or white top but I love the pop of color. Maybe you should make two :-)
so am i going to be the lone dissenter? i love unexpected elements in jewelry design... the idea of one cherry colored bead that would be just off-center sounds perfect... of course, you could just make a second one of those - you did the work of making the first already...
I like the sprinklinng of color. It really livens it up.
I was going to vote for leaving it neutral until I read the comment about one off-center red bead and that completely changed my vote. I agree! One red bead!
Keep it how it is, but make a second one with colour.
Thanks for ALL of the help! I think I will mkae a second since I have enough beads to do that.... I'll post it when done!! Appreciate all of the opinions. My husband Bill is an artist and everytime I ask him his opinion, he will typically say, "I like it.... then will stare at it a little longer and then say something like.... "maybe if you just....!" I rarely ask anymore since I then over critique, take it apart, etc. I'll stick with my bead making friends from now on :O)
MaryAnn
Mary Anne, I'm glad you're going to make another one because the world could always use one more beautiful thing!! I am so in love with that pile of beads you've got there. I am really attracted to the vibrant red color. Is that a new glaze? Great work!
I prefer a little pop of color here and there :) Helps make the piece stand out and accent an outfit a bit more...
I like giving my customers the option of color if they want it, so I like to offer removable dangles with lobster clasps to hang on the necklace if they choose.
I would add the color. I love color and they will still go with most everything.
A little color would make it perfect. It looks really unique and chic. Great work! I usually wear Jewelry chain but you chain made me feel like trying out fancy ones as well!;)
