Today I will keep it short and sweet..... And here are some sa-wwwweeeeeeeettttt patina-ted links by Missficklemedia hooked up with some of my ceramic beads.....
What makes these beads special is that they are actually from clay that my husband Bill dug up at an area close to us. A mudslide back in the 90's changed the lay of the land exposing lots of red clay..... cool, huh?
These unique earrings can be yours by answering a very simple question.
These unique earrings can be yours by answering a very simple question.
And here is the question...
"When is the earliest time in your life that you can remember that you accomplished something that you were proud of and not too modest to admit it? What was it?"

That would have to be the birth of my daughter, 30some years ago. And shes' my only child. And it happened in the Phillipines on an airbase. We didn't have a car so we had to borrow a friends car. I never thought I would get through it! But I did!
Lovely earrings! How cool that the clay was dug up by your husband!
When I was in highschool I entered a contest to design the mascot for the gym floor. My design won, and I received a prize of $50 (a lot for that time), an article in the local paper, and the thrill of knowing my art would be seen by loads of people. It was the very first affirmation that I was an artist.
Hi. These earrings are so unique and pretty. My answer would probably have to be when I was about 13-14 and started really getting in to sewing in around 1973. I started making alot of my own clothes and it was the first thing I was good enough at to somewhat modestly share.
Thanks for letting me enter.
Hugs...Tracy :)

In high school, I painted a portrait of my foster family, and it was featured on parent night. Then one of the teachers commissioned me to paint her children. It was the first time I sold art and I was so proud!
I tweeted @paints12
My first feeling of real accomplishment would be my citizenship award for most helpful student (6th grade) and my years in choir. I love to sing and I'm okay. I love making a joyful noise.

Here is my Facebook share. Thank you!!
In high school I won prizes in 2 poetry contests. I was pretty proud of that. Kind of funny, because I had already won a writing contest in the 1st grade and a poetry contest in the 3rd grade, but at that time, for whatever reason I didn't think it was big deal.
When I was twelve years old I received a superior rating for my Bach piano solo at the State Contest. I had worked for months and was very proud!
I love reading all of these comments!!! I love to hear everyone's accomplishments from years gone by :O)
In my sophmore year I was the editor of the first creative arts magazine ever done at my school. I had it professionally printed and we sold 500 or so copies...It was called "Echoes of the Mind" and I still have a copy of it on my bookshelf(30+ yrs later)
Thanks for the beautiful giveaway!!
I would say having my daughter with no drugs in less than 40 minutes but you asked for oldest memory. I would say that in college I took a nude photography class and one of my pieces ended up in a book. I was so proud.
I still have that book :-)
How to answer??!?! I've been creative my whole life, and was always proud of my art -- from silly poems I'd write when I was 5, the art contest I won in second grade, my big portfolio of "fashions" I designed from ages 12-14, being accepted into a prestigious arts high school... Creating is the surest way for me to accomplish something and be proud of it!
Drawing my dog (with emotion) aged ten.
Probably making an apron for 4-H fair when I was about 9. This was the first thing I ever made in sewing and I got a blue ribbon. I was so proud. And I still sew today and still love it!
I guess my "oldest" memory would be in high school getting several of my poems published in our annual literary book.
