Normally, I would post something jewelry related here on this blog. It is after all that sort of blog. But our little world was a bit crazy last night as yet another round of storms ravaged the midwest. That's our daughter holding a piece of hail in the palm of her hand from a storm system that produced tornadoes in the Dallas area. Her housing complex was one of those affected. She and her family are all right but one of her neighbors is not.
I thought we might pause today to open our hearts to those affected by the storms across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas last night and Joplin, Missouri on Sunday.

while so very far from all of this, my nerves are jangling from the almost non-stop news of these life threatening storms that are ravaging the country... i am so glad your daughter is safe... but am so saddened by all of the loss... my heart is with those who have suffered loss - and who continue to look for those missing...
LeAnn, I'm glad your family is safe. With family in the Midwest myself I've been following the storm news closely, and my heart aches for all of those affected. Be safe, everyone, and heed the warnings.
I agree we should take a moment to remember those who have been so greatly effected by these storms. It is a reminder of how life is so fragile and can take a turn at any moment. Thanks for sharing such a touching post. MaryAnn
I agree. Keeping all of those affected by these horrendous storms and their aftermath in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe.
That is darn big hail! We've gotten some pea sized here in CA... nuthin like the Midwest storms, thank God. We're praying for you folks.
Absolutely devastating! My heart goes out to all affected. But I am glad you and your family are well...
That is large hailstone.. Glad to hear you are ok, but it's saddening to hear of troubles elsewhere..
