LMAJ giveaway bead Nov 8

Bead Description:  These special beads have an inner glow, for sure. Made by hand with layer upon layer of translucent color, and adorned with my own handmade murrini, these beads would be comfortable in any design. This bead is etched to a velvety finish, and sparkles in the sunlight from the silver added to the glass.  This lentil bead measures 1.25" across (32mm).

How to Win:

Please CAREFULLY read and follow the directions below and your name will be
included in our random drawing giveaway.

Question:

With the holidays quickly approaching, I have spent some time thinking about what I can make that would be special for my loved ones?  I've made jewelry, clocks, keepsake boxes, personal CD's, personalized T-Shirts, woodcarvings, a rocking horse, a toy box and on and on.  I have even made some special birthday dinners on occasion.  Those have probably been my biggest challenges since I am not a fan of cooking.

Have you made something special for someone in your life?
If so, what was it and how was it received?

Love, love, love this bead! I made a photo quilt for my fiance for his birthday a number of years ago. I found fabric that was designed to be printed on from my inkjet printer, then rinsed in cold water to "set" the picture... and then sewn just like normal quilt squares. It's a treasured gift like no other. I'll never forget the look on his face when he came home from work and I had it laying on the bed. Priceless!

I have shared your giveaway with my readers at:

Thanks so much for the giveaway! I'm headed over to check out more of Patty's beads in her store. Have a terrific week!

LMAJ, I have made so many things for my family and friends I can't even recall all of them. Painted wood crafts, 3 sisters childhood photo gifts, glass painted St. Louis Cardinal Bowls, jewelry,ornaments... One that sticks out in my mind is snowman ornaments we made out of light bulbs. We went to a cabin in the Mountains before Christmas and the kids helped, all the family received one. It is a wonderful memory.
Patty, I am with you on the cooking! Your bead is gorgeous...Laura

What a stunning bead. And a great question.
My greateset creations are my children, does that count? They are a joy for sure and are a work in progress but are turning out to be quite splendid!

As for special trinkets... I made something special for my sister's birthday coming up in January that will be featured in an article in Stringing about gifting. I haven't made much for her before and I had her pick out colors and beads and things. I think that I have captured her essence perfectly!

Enjoy the day!

Beautiful Bead! You are a truly talented artist to create such beautiful thinhgs. I made quilts for two of my boys, using fabric that speaks to their interests and talents. My boys are young adults and I'm not sure they appreciate the amount of work but maybe someday they will :). I posted on my blog about your fabulous giveaway. Thank you!

I made a PMC pin for my mother-in-law for Christmas last year. It is a star with a tiny star dangle for her to wear on her coat. For mother's day a few years ago I made all the women in my family a PMC initial necklace.

Yes I have made something special for my mother. She asked me once for a beaded dragon, not expecting it to take the obsessive turn it did. In fact my mom bought me my first box of beads. So I worked hard and long to make a dragon. The first one was odd looking, now however they are beautiful 3d models of the magnificent dragon. It took me 11 years to perfect, but they are finally ready!

A cross-stitch which I had framed and given to my husband. The cross-stitch kit was given to me by an elderly friend who passed away in the meantime, so it had lots of sentimental value...

Beautiful bead by the way.....
