I WONDERED why MJ didn't post about this wonderful component. I like the dangle in the middle too.

So, "infinite moment" could be a lot of things.

That first kiss when you know you have met someone that will find a special place in your heart.

The first site of a special pet. The moment becomes the beginning of reciprocal devotion.

How to define an infinite moment...hard. When you knew you had one, easy.

I saw this beauty on her blog--and I'm so excited she's offering it up here as a giveaway prize. I just love the name she gave it.

I think an infinite moment is not defined in how long the actual moment lasts, but how long the moment lasts in your memory. Special moments like holding your just-born baby, the moment the preacher declares a couple man and wife, etc.

As for question #2, I love Mary's blog because she provides so much inspiration and food for thought with her creations. I love that she shares it with all of us so willingly.

Question 2
MJ's blog is one of my favorite places. Her creations are timeless, earthy and thought provoking and zen inspiring. I want this piece or a similar one almost as much as the earrings I recently got from her. I'll have to talk to her about that!!

this piece is fabulous..but then so are all of MJ's pieces.

Infinite moment. Well, I seem to have a lot of these at the dentist. ;-) But that beautiful pendant is a much more positive interpretation. I would love to own it, and it would infinitely remind me that I am surrounded by incredibly talented artists.

I don't have a blog, but I went to Mary Ann's website. I love her use of fiber with metal. It adds a special unexpected finishing touch to her pieces that make them stand out from the crowd. Please enter me a second time to win the pendant!

An infinite moment, to me, is a moment that will never be forgotten. Doesn't matter what that moment actually is, it's the fact that it's burned into your soul that makes it infinite. So beautiful!

Hmmm, a moment you never forget - precious and special

Shannon Chomanczuk said...

My infinite moments are those that are burned into my heart. The moment I saw my husband to be for the first time, the whole world stood still. The moment my baby girl was born, pink and screaming she was so beautiful. These moments will bring tears to my eyes no matter how old I am.

An infinite moment is
a promise for all eternity,
a moment that takes your breath away,
a moment that gives you life,
a dream that becomes a reality,
a hope for the future,
everlasting, to all time.

A beautiful name for a beautiful necklace! I think an infinite moment is one that is memorable and you can step back to that memory to reflect, relive and remember. The moments that last forever.

infinite moment is what i want to have with my children now as they grow too fast.. just stop the clocks.

this is a fabulous piece..like all of MJ's work.

question two.. I don't have to go to Mary Jane's blog because I know and love her work and own several pieces that I wear almost daily. Her pieces are full of strength yet very delicate...i adore that balance that she achieves with her pieces.

Luthien,

My first grandchild was born premature. She spent 6 weeks in a incubator. Today, at the age of 3, you would have never guessed that she was a teenie little baby of 3 lbs. She is a vibrant, intelligent and beautiful child! All of the moments that I have with her, when she makes me laugh because she is also very funny (like her Nonnie ;o) are infinite moments to me! "Infinite Moment"~~time spent in prayer, watching your loved one sleep peacefully, seeing an amazing sunset, being thankful for little things: my shoes, finding car keys, the taste of my hot homemade cafe au lait. Wonderful moments, I'd say!
Gorgeous piece!

I love the necklace as well as Mary Jane's work - very creative. Infinite moment to me is like time standing still when something is "perfect".

I really enjoy Mary Jane's work but when I checked out her site today - I was really taken with a pair of earrings called "landscape of the sky" - very unique.

GORGEOUS piece Mary Jane!!!! I may have to become a collector of Maire Dodd creations!! I love this!! Infinite moments are those that last forever in your memory, and leave an impression on your soul. They're special, intimate and rare. They are a joy to recall, make you smile, and bring immediate warmth to your heart. (......I know, I know.. I can't win, but I just LOVE this post!!)

Infinite moment is an event that will make your heart beat faster everytime you think about it.

for me an infinite moment represents those precious one second instances that you cherish and carry forever in your heart and your soul. moments like that first look when your eyes met, the moment when the pain subsided and you heard them give that first cry, the moment that you realised that you did something very special that made a difference to another's life, and yes as Kelli has said it made you smile inside and out.... but an infinite moment may also represent a very sad time for you and is a moment that stays with you forever...

this has been a fun post. i love to reflect and write about the special little things that make our lives complete and that add so so much dimension to what can be at times a very difficult world.
Mary Jane's work is always so rustic but chic. my favourite esty piece at the moment is her mark of wisdom earings... these are soo cute..

An infinite moment to me is a special time with my family and or children when being with them and laughing with them makes time stand still, because after all this to me is what life really is all about, those infinite moments with your loved ones.

WizardStar Magenta said...

hoping that the moment you love at the exact time goes on forever more, that that is no end, just pure unconditional love, the feeling of being loved, lasting to eternity. The infinite moment, is the love, or whom or what you love and have passion for be it family, work, your partner, home, travel, the smell of lilacs in spring and visiting your old childhood school etc.. it can be anything wishing that that moment in time is infinite. I love her work and thanks for this opportunity.

I know I'm way to late to win the awesome necklace, but I just loved the question and wanted to play.

Infinite Moment: Those rare and fleeting moments in life that are so profound, they can't help but have a ripple effect that changes everything; Past, Present and Future.
