i love the evolution of style... how some shifts/refinements/experiments flow effortlessly, some are hard earned, some are delivered by the muse and some by the post wo/man... some broaden your options and some bring you closer to expressing your truth...
a subtle but significant change for me is switching to lower case stamps...
as is playing with open forms...
trying new colors (red is definitely a step outside of my comfort zone -
browns and blues are not) ... but i have a different idea for them...
did you try anything new this week? was it planned or unplanned?

love these..can't wait to see where you take them.
i love BF he must have been a hoot or toot.
i'm making a face mold today for holiday weird angels.
I'm trying to wire wrap somne wood-fired beads. I must say that using wire is something that forces me to slow down which does not come easy! Ever! Except for after my evening glass of wine ;o)
Beautiful!!!! Red is usually the last color I would choose, but when I do I really like it. Not sure why its so difficult for me to use it.
This week has been a whirlwind--I'm doing good just to get out of bed and make it through the day. No creating for me AT ALL this week--and it's killin' me!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving
Red may be out of your comfort zone, and mine as well, but that is a splendid red. I've done all sorts of new things this week from soldering to some etching experiments. It feels good to do new things.
That red looks fantastic! So much potential for those pieces.
I did try something new this week - working with gold tone findings. I combined them with some (also a fairly new project for me) home made bead caps. I'm very pleased with the results. In fact, that's what my latest blog is about :)
OMGOSH!! That red is fantastic..absolutely!!
I saw the pic for this post and immediately recognized your work before my eyes glanced over to see what blog I was going to read!! Cool, huh. I like this new work, but man, that red is bomb.
love the red, it is a hard color for me to work with too, but as I get older I find I love it more......I've been trying my hand at etching copper for the first time, I bought powdered ferric chloride, but have no idea of the ratio of water to powder, so just guessed, some of my copper blanks turned out really good, some didn't, unfortunately, it seems only one of each pair I did turned out( was making earring pairs) so I guess these will have to be for something else
I love what you make and the red is dynamite! Happy creating...
red...mmmmm...loving it!
when will that red be in your shop?
and your switch is like opening a door... new worlds await you.
enjoy the day, mj!

Red is a colour that really challenges me. I will be trying something new this weekend. The patina on the pieces in the bottom pic is breathtaking.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the red!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be looking for that in the shop!! :)
